Javea Rentals have their main office in Javea and offer a local service. The company is basically a middleman putting holidaymakers in touch with holiday apartment owners.
The rental holiday homes website is not only attractive, but also extremely easy to use, unlike some other websites that I have come across in this sector. When you land on the home page of the site you will see a search box like the top of the page, which gives you the option of choosing from 13 locations around the world.
We decided to holiday in Spain last year as I used to work in Benidorm and later Ibiza when I was a teenager and have a lot of good memories. I was pleased to see that there were pages and pages of holiday rentals to choose from in the Belearic Islands and plenty of apartments to rent in mainland Spain – and also prices to suit all budgets. I had been worried that our rather low holiday budget would not stretch far enough to rent a nice place, and we might end up in some pokey flat on the outskirts of town. However, there were some really great properties in the centre of Javea that we could afford, and still have plenty of money over for spending.
Actually deciding on a property was the hardest part because of the huge selection on the site.We eventually opted for a two-bedroom apartment which was just 2 km from the airport, and only a 2 min walk from the beach. The nearest restaurant was directly across the road properly not even 100 m away and the food that was really something to write home about, and cheap too!
As my boyfriend likes to play golf this also played a part in our decision because the golf course is just 10 km from the apartment, although he only found the energy to play once.
The apartment contained all the mod cons you need while on holiday in Javea such as an iron and a hairdryer, as well as plenty more that you don’t like cooking utensils and kitchen appliances. We decided to eat out most days but if you are a family with young children you will probably be delighted to be able to cook just like you do at home.
The apartment block had a pool with a paddling section for kids, but was surprisingly quiet the time of year which was July. We guessed it was probably because the beach was so close that many families decided to go there instead, as there are lots of beach amenities such as water sports, beach volleyball and a small swing park for children,
Once you have found a property you like, booking could not be easier. The rental holiday homes website displays an availability calendar for each individual property, so you can see which days are still free.
There is a form to fill out with your contact details, the days you would like to book, and any other details you think relevant.
After filling out the form the owner of our apartment contacted us by telephone the following day and we arranged to pay a deposit via bank transfer. The rest of the money was due to be paid a fortnight before we traveled.
The keys were left with the porter of the block, and there was no worry about the time we would arrive as the block is staffed 24 hours a day.
All in all we had a very pleasant holiday and experience with using the website and will definitely be revisiting the site this year as we have plans to holiday in Benidorm in Autumn.
