Television chef Hugh Fernlay-Whittingstall had his show ‘Hugh’s Chicken Run’ broadcast earlier this year, informing horrified viewers what the life of a broiler chicken is really like. His show encouraged people to buy free-range eggs instead, and sales have risen by more than 50% in this last year. Truk Lagoon offers some of the best wreck diving in the world. Located amongst the thousands of Micronesian Islands, Chuuk (or Truk) became one of the most impressive strongholds of the Japanese navy during the war. The island provided a natural sanctuary with an encircling barrier reef, and the Japanese kept a huge fleet of their supply and naval ships there.
